It is completely normal with secrete or discharge from the vagina and it is only if it is a nuisance that you should react. Some women have a lot of discharge while others have practically nothing. The amount does not just vary from woman to woman but also through your menstrual cycle.

There is a big difference in how the individual woman reacts to discharge. Discharge that some women perceives as normal and tolerable, some women perceive as a nuisance and as a sign of illness.

What most women react to a changes in the discharge and that is quite sensible because changes can be signs that something in the vagina is wrong. It can be changes in colour and in particular in smell and amount that causes worry. The most common causes of bothering discharge from your vagina is excessive hygiene and disturbance in the balance between good bacteria (lactic bacteria) and harmful bacteria or fungi.

In many cases the nuisance of your discharge can be treated with lactic bacteria. If your discharge is very bothering or do not disappear after the use of lactic bacteria, you should seek help with your doctor who will be able to help you. In some cases, it can be necessary to get a reference to a specialist in women’s diseases (gynaecologist).
